Solar Panels

Generate your own electricity

Solar PV turns your roof into a power source, cutting what you buy from the grid from the very first day of sunshine.

Overview

Solar that pays for itself

A well-designed solar system generates free electricity for 25 years or more. We size yours to your roof and your usage, so you get the best return — and pair it with a battery when it makes the savings work harder.

The benefits

Why it’s worth it

Is it right for you?

Solar suits most homes

You don’t need a perfectly south-facing roof. We assess shading, orientation and roof space to tell you honestly what you’ll get.

  • You have unshaded roof space, roughly south, east or west facing
  • You use electricity during the day, or plan to add a battery
  • You want to cut long-term energy costs and carbon
  • You own your home or have permission to install
  • Your roof is in sound condition (we can advise if not)

Questions

Solar Panels FAQs

Most homes fit between 8 and 16 panels depending on roof space and how much electricity you use. We calculate the right number at survey.

Yes. Panels generate from daylight, not direct sun, so they still produce power on overcast North West days — just less than in bright sun.

A battery lets you store daytime solar and use it in the evening, which usually increases your savings. We will show you the numbers both ways.

Yes, through the Smart Export Guarantee, your supplier pays for surplus electricity you export. We register you as part of the install.

Panels are typically warrantied for 25 years and keep generating well beyond that, with very little maintenance needed.

For most homes, solar is permitted development and needs no planning application. We flag the rare exceptions before you commit.
